GOJ MSME Business Relief — Hurricane Melissa

The Government of Jamaica, through the Ministry, has established the GOJ MSME Business Relief programme — J$500,000,000 in relief for MSMEs and micro businesses affected by Hurricane Melissa. This is strictly a Government programme, administered and adjudicated by the Ministry. The Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce and Industry is assisting affected businesses in the parish by facilitating and collating applications for onward submission to the Ministry, in order to speed up the process. Chamber membership is NOT required to use this service.

Please note: the chamber does not hold, distribute or disburse any relief funds, and makes no decisions on eligibility or awards — all determinations are made solely by the Ministry under the GOJ MSME Business Relief programme's terms. The chamber's role is limited to helping applicants prepare and submit complete applications. The secretariat will contact you regarding supporting documents (photographs of damage, receipts, estimates) required by the Ministry.
